Unlike the double jointed which acts on the tongue, the single jointed acts on the palate and the sides of the tongue. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy but sensitive in the mouth, not very sensitive on the palate or with a hollow palate. The loose ring allows less direct contact with the mouth, the horse has the possibility to move the bit with his tongue, which improves the relaxation.
