The drop cheek bit encourages horses that carry their head very high to lower and flex their necks more easily. This bit, with its upper branches, has a slightly lowering effect on the neck. Its action remains light, aiming to achieve a gentle flexion of the horse's neck.

The bit should be rinsed with water after each use to remove saliva and residues. Don't forget to dry it with a towel. If impurities are difficult to remove, you can use a small cleaning brush. Never use a metallic brush, however, as the bristles may scratch the bit, making it uneven and sharp.
