Expert opinion
: The Beris loose ring bit, straight, thin comfort barrel, allows to obtain a constant, stable and symmetrical contact. It helps to make contact and is intended more for horses that have difficulty in stretching with articulated bits. The straight barrel exerts direct pressure on the tongue and bars, while freeing the palate. The thinness of its barrel allows to optimize the place of the bit in the mouth of your horse. Ideal for horses with small mouths. The fact that it is straight ensures a symmetrical left/right contact of the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these elements will allow the horse to gain confidence in its mouthpiece, to come to rest and to stretch itself, it is an ideal bit for a young horse. The Hard barrel is ideal for horses with a sensitive mouth but who tend to lean slightly. The Soft barrel is ideal for horses with a sensitive mouth that need to rest lightly on the hand. The comfort bit is characterized by a very slight curvature of the mouthpiece. This anatomically shaped mouthpiece rests lightly and evenly on the tongue, giving it more room and freedom. When taking the reins, the pressure on the lower jaw and the tongue is even. This prevents the tongue and bars from getting stuck sideways.
The loose rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow for a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, which makes it easier to play in the fingers and limits excessive tension.
Material
Resin : Beris bits are made of resin, with a specially smooth surface that allows the bit to slide into the horse's mouth without the "gumming" effect that traditional resin bits can cause. This material is so smooth and soft to the touch that it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. This resin is made from a plastic material for food use. A real asset to obtain chewing and a good acceptance of the bit thanks to its soft touch and its ambient temperature.
> Handcrafted.
Caution: This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
