Latex bit wraps: an interface between the bit and the horse’s mouth

Bit wraps are stretchable, adhesive latex bands that are applied around the mouthpiece of the bit. They create an additional interface between the bit and the horse’s mouth. Their use directly alters how rein aids are perceived by influencing several aspects of the bit:

Adding a bit wrap changes the sensation in the mouth. The contact may feel softer, but also less precise depending on the material and thickness.
