Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel. It's a widely used alloy because of its non-oxidizing properties. It is highly resistant to bites and does not suffer much damage over time. Its taste is neutral. It has no saliva-activating properties, so does not increase the horse's chewing activity.

The material bit affects several parameters in the horse's mouth, such as sensations and salivation. It's important to choose carefully, depending on the sensitivity of your horse and your riding. Our team will be happy to advise you on the advantages and disadvantages of each. If you don't know which alloy to choose, we advise you to consult a bit fitter.

Do you know the funnel approach ? That's how we usually work to determine the most suitable bit. You need to be attentive to the various signals your horse might emit, which could help determine his sensitivities. Does he shake his head? Does he rest on his bit? We explain everything in our Advice section.

If you're not completely satisfied with your bit within 15 days, you can return it to us and take advantage of our rental service. All our bits, except for leather or fabric bits, are eligible for rental. Rental is also available on used bits. To find out more about our rental conditions and price, click here.

The bit should be rinsed with water after each use to remove saliva and residues. Don't forget to dry it with a towel. If impurities are difficult to remove, you can use a small cleaning brush. Never use a metallic brush, however, as the bristles may scratch the bit, making it uneven and sharp.
