Anatomically designed for comfort, Felix is a lightweight single-jointed bit with our unique Fager Smart System – FSS™. This innovative system is designed to lock the joint in any direction, in order to avoid any interference with the palate; thus avoiding the ‘nutcracker' effect.It creates the feel of a classic straight bit, yet with added flexibility. The design creates stability whilst ensuring free movement and comfort in the horse's mouth through a well-balanced, horse-friendly bit which has proven to be greatly appreciated by sensitive horses.Felix's design is curved to create room and allow freedom for the tongue. A horse with a sensitive tongue will appreciate this innovative design and will be more accepting of the contact, creating a refreshed willingness to work.IMPORTANT: Fager Felix offers two fittings, each offering a very different result.Fitted one way it creates a front-lock and then turned around and fitted the other way, there is no locking of the joint.WITH front lock is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following:

• Can be inconsistent in the connection.
• Do not actively seek contact towards the bit.
• Drops the bit/falls behind the hand.

• Can be inconsistent in the connection.
• Feels stiff under the saddle.
• Bites down on the bit, attempting to pull it back.
• Attempts to place the tongue over the bit.
