Description
Effect: The full cheek bit has a direct action on the horse's mouth without any leverage. It is the bit that will offer the best possible control, which is why it is preferred for young horses. The single jointed lock up barrel allows for some play and freedom of contact, but with the security of more control if needed.
Advice for use: The single jointed lock up barrel can be perfectly adapted for riders looking for a little more control but still on an ergonomic barrel is comfortable for the horse. Its slightly thinner barrel size than a standard barrel will allow a little more finesse in what you are trying to achieve.
Maintenance advice: rinse the bit after each use to prevent any residue deposit and to avoid your horse to feel any discomfort.
Material
Blue Steel oxidizes when in contact of air and humidity creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste that will naturally stimulate the production of saliva. By salivating more, horses will take the bit more. With this oxidizing process, the bit color will turn into a greyish brown.
