Full cheek bit: The most channelising bit, often used for young horses. This bit has an action on the horse balance. It makes the horse rebalance and transfer its weight on the hind-end. The longer the bars are, the stronger the gag action is. This bit can only be used with two reins directly put on the gag cheek pieces. It can also be used in both ways so there is a more or less strong lever action and a more or less strong gag action. The Blue Steel material adapts to the horse's mouth temperature a lot faster than other materials.
Material: Sweet iron- Blue steel: 54% carbon, 46% manganèse. Sweet iron bits gets oxidized with air and humidity. Then comes a thin line of rust has a sweet taste, and stimulates the saliva. By getting more saliva the horse gets more contact on its bit. The oxydation process will change the color to grey - brown.
