The loose ring bits are the simplest in terms of action from the rider but also in the horse's mouth. The large rings give a slight lever action and most of all, a better direction. The port combines the full bit and french mouth bit interests: no pressure on the tongue neither on the palate. This bit suits perfectly horses that are sensitive to tongue pressure. The high port helps for direction. Horses can easily place their tongue, breathe better and will be more focused while working.
