Expert opinion
The Kimblewick bit is similar in function to the Pelham bit, and uses the pressure of the curb chain. The leverage is less pronounced due to a shorter D-ring. Innovative KK-Ultra bits use the sensitivity of the tongue, which works as sensitively as the human tongue. The tongue is such a sensitive organ that its receptivity amplifies the actions transmitted by the bit. When acting on the reins, the central olive of KK-Ultra bits lies flat on the tongue, without pinching or pressing on the palate. The small rings of the snaffles rest over the tongue. The positioning of the central olive enhances tongue sensitivity. The rider's actions are precise and comfortable.
Material
Sensogan : This alloy is composed of copper, manganese and zinc. It is the new non-toxic alloy developed by Sprenger, which has been extremely quickly accepted by horses. Sensogan has improved properties but also a completely new appearance. Unlike Aurigan, it oxidizes less violently and salivation is better regulated throughout the working session. In addition, it is less tarnishing : the shine lasts longer and this alloy is easier to maintain.
