Description
Full cheek bit: The most channelising bit, often used for young horses. This bit has a direct effect with no leverage action. The full cheek pieces are the best ones for channelling the horse. It is also the best for solving directional issues and it is perfectly adapted to young horses. This is a classic bit that we usually consider for young horse to start off as it is a proper starter bit to teach the horse the right communication channel. The double jointed bits are usually more comfortable for the horse which prevent pressure on the palate. The leather will make the bit very soft to the contact of the horse. It is sometimes a good way for young horses to start especially if they are very sensitive in the mouth.
Material
Material: Virtually every horse like the feeling of leather in its mouth and reacts with increased chewing activity and more salivation. The more salivation, the better slides the bit in the mouth what means an increased well being of your horse. The anatomical shape of the mouthpiece adjusts when wet even more perfect to the anatomy of the horse's mouth. Extremely well suited is our leather mouthpiece for young and highly sensitive horses, disliking all other materials. This mouthpiece are tanned vegetable and stitched by hand.
Tips : Prior to the first use please soak the mouthpiece thoroughly in cooking oil. Please repeat since the leather seems dry to you. Prior to every use please soak briefly in cold water and rinse after use because saliva can erode the leather quickly.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
