Expert's Opinion : The Nathe soft right pelham bit is particularly suitable for powerful and sensitive horses that do not appreciate the contact of metal bits. Its one-piece barrel offers the horse a symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth. This helps the horse to settle on the bit and that's why it is interesting to use from the beginning of the training because it gives confidence. It avoids any pinching of the tongue. The high quality resin of the Nathe brand encourages horses to salivate. When acting on the mouth, the flexible bit will curve and distribute the pressure in the mouth on the tongue, the bars and the commissures. The functioning of the pelham and its severity depend essentially on the point of attachment of the reins. When used on the top ring, the pelham is slightly lifting. It allows the rider to obtain a lighter contact in the hands on horses in the blood. Delivered without the rings.
Material : Made in Germany, Nathe bits are made of a high quality anti-allergenic thermoplastic. They are manufactured without the use of chemical substances or solvents. Thanks to their smooth surface, Nathe bits avoid the risk of overheating in the horse's mouth. They are reinforced with a cable which ensures the solidity of the bit. The resin bits remain at room temperature and offer a soft and relaxing contact.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
