Expert opinion
: The double snaffle bit is a double snaffle bit that offers a simple contact. It allows a better relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smoother transmission of your aids. Unlike the single bit which acts on the palate, the double bit acts on the tongue without causing pain. The resin allows a more pleasant and relaxing contact. Especially in winter, when stainless steel bits cause a cold effect that is not very pleasant in the mouth, resin bits are not and play a more important role in relaxation. The copper roller allows the horse to relax and concentrate more on the mouthpiece. It also prevents some horses from passing the tongue. The copper roller, together with the saliva, produces a sweet taste that moves tenderly on the tongue, stimulating chewing. The loose rings offer a gentle contact to the mouth. They allow a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, which makes it easier to play in the fingers and limits excessive tension.
Material
Resin : Happy Mouth offers a non-toxic polyurethane resin that gives the horse a lasting apple taste to help with bit acceptance. Resin bits are soft and light, suitable for young horses for breaking in or for sensitive mouths. Resin bits stay at room temperature. They offer a soft contact but are less tender and thick than a rubber bit. The apple taste encourages chewing.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
