Inno Sense eggbutt gag Flexi soft - Trust

Our expert's opinion

The straight bar Innosense eggbutt gag bit provides consistent and symmetrical contact. It helps the horse establish a steady connection with the bit and is particularly suitable for horses that struggle to accept the contact with jointed bits.

The straight mouthpiece applies direct pressure to the tongue and bars while relieving pressure on the palate. Its straight design ensures even contact on both sides of the mouth, allowing symmetrical communication between the rider's hands and the horse's mouth while eliminating the risk of pinching the tongue.

These features help the horse develop confidence in the bit, encouraging it to accept the contact and stretch into the reins. This makes it an ideal choice for young horses.

The Innosense material has a smooth, soft-touch surface, making it suitable even for horses that have difficulty producing saliva.

The hard Innosense mouthpiece helps prevent the horse from leaning too heavily on the bit while encouraging a steady connection. In contrast, the soft Innosense mouthpiece encourages the horse to stretch forward into the contact.

A light, consistent contact with the bit can help improve the horse's movement by encouraging greater engagement of the hindquarters.

The gag bit helps encourage collection, improving and maintaining the horse's balance. It encourages the horse to lift its withers and engage its hindquarters underneath its body.

This bit features special cheekpieces that pass through two additional rings positioned perpendicular to the main bit rings. This design allows it to be used with two or four reins, or with gag bit converters.

When used with four reins, the reins attached directly to the bit rings provide a traditional lifting action, while those attached to the sliding gag cheekpieces can produce a lowering effect on the horse's head and neck.

The gag bit can help improve the horse's balance by encouraging it to bring its nose closer to the rider.
