The straight, flexible bridle bit ensures constant and symmetrical contact. It helps the horse make contact with the bit and is particularly suited to horses that find it difficult to engage with jointed bits. The straight shank exerts direct pressure on the tongue and bars, whilst leaving the palate free. The fact that it is straight ensures symmetrical left/right contact from the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these features help the horse to gain confidence in the bit, settle and come into contact; it is an ideal bit for a young horse. As the Innosense resin is smooth and soft to the touch, it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. The rigid resin prevents your horse from leaning too heavily on its bit whilst encouraging it to make contact. Conversely, the flexible resin encourages the horse to lengthen its frame. Light contact by the horse with its bit will help improve the horse's movement through the engagement of the hindquarters. The leverage effect varies depending on the size of the bit's shanks. This action can be amplified by adjusting the curb chain (making it tighter or looser by changing its angle). It is advisable to use curb chain protectors for sensitive horses. The pump system helps to cushion the pressure exerted in the mouth and enhances comfort.
