The Myler Level 2 locked eggbutt bit is particularly suitable for horses that need a stable and precise contact while requiring greater comfort around the tongue. Its slight tongue port can be especially useful for horses with a thick or sensitive tongue.

Its barrel-style mouthpiece combines a curved shape with a central roller joint. The mouthpiece is locked and does not fold like a conventional jointed bit, helping to reduce pinching and distribute pressure more evenly between the tongue and bars. Level 2 provides more tongue room than Level 1.

Made from stainless steel, the mouthpiece provides a neutral, direct and precise contact. This highly resistant material maintains a smooth surface over time and has no particular taste to encourage salivation.

The flat eggbutt rings provide lateral stability while transmitting the rider’s aids directly. They also reduce the risk of pinching at the corners of the mouth, which can benefit horses that are sensitive in this area.
