The Fager Michael Baby Fulmer is designed for horses that are sensitive in the mouth, become too stiff in straight bits, hesitate to soften into the contact, or struggle to maintain a consistent connection. It also suits horses that overreact to the reins or fluctuate between avoiding and leaning on the contact.

Its double-jointed mouthpiece features Fager's unique lock-up function, creating bar relief while locking upwards. This design is especially suitable for horses with a low palate or sensitive bars without producing the rigid feeling commonly associated with straight bits.

The joints are rotated away from the tongue to create a softer, more progressive pressure, helping the horse remain relaxed and consistent in the contact. The Sweet Iron coating develops an appealing taste that encourages the horse to confidently seek the rider's hand.

The Baby Fulmer cheeks improve steering while keeping the mouthpiece stable. The loose rings sit further from the corners of the mouth, moving pressure lower and inward to encourage the horse to lift the forehand, return to the contact, and maintain a comfortable, supple feeling.

Sweet Iron is a coating applied over a stainless steel core. When exposed to saliva, it naturally oxidises, creating a slightly sweet taste that encourages salivation and helps the horse confidently seek a softer, more consistent contact with the rider's hand.
