The Fager Michael Loose Ring bit is designed for horses that are sensitive in the mouth, become too stiff in straight bits, yet remain unsettled in conventional double-jointed mouthpieces. It encourages the horse to seek a steadier and more consistent contact.

Its double-jointed mouthpiece features a unique locking mechanism that locks upwards, relieving pressure on the bars without creating the rigid feeling of a straight bit. This makes it particularly suitable for horses with a low palate and sensitive bars.

The Sweet Iron coating develops a naturally sweet taste that encourages the horse to accept the bit more willingly and maintain a softer, more consistent connection with the rider's hand.

The loose rings provide greater mobility, promoting relaxation of the jaw and precise communication. The mouthpiece thickness distributes pressure progressively for enhanced comfort.

Sweet Iron is a coating applied over a stainless steel core. As it naturally oxidises through contact with moisture, it develops a slightly sweet taste that encourages the horse to accept the bit, increase salivation and maintain a steadier contact. The brown-grey colour that develops over time is completely normal and does not affect the performance of the bit.
