Our expert's opinion
The loose rings create a soft, mobile action that encourages the horse to confidently seek the contact. The straight mouthpiece with a generous tongue port greatly reduces tongue pressure while distributing pressure across the bars, making it ideal for horses with sensitive mouths, inconsistent contact, or large tongues. Stainless steel provides a neutral, durable surface that delivers consistent communication and long-lasting comfort.
Description
The Fager Henrik loose ring bit is designed for sensitive horses that struggle with a steady contact, open their mouths, or play with their tongues. It is particularly suited to horses that hesitate to seek the contact and prefer a calm, stable feeling in the mouth.
Its straight mouthpiece with a generous tongue port provides significant tongue relief while distributing pressure evenly across the bars. This design reduces pressure on sensitive areas and offers excellent comfort for horses with large or fleshy tongues.
The loose rings allow the bit to move naturally in the horse's mouth, creating a softer connection and encouraging relaxation without making the contact feel rigid.
Rounded edges and a well-balanced mouthpiece provide clear communication while maximising comfort. The result is a steadier, more confident contact and improved acceptance of the bit.
Material
Stainless steel is valued for its strength, corrosion resistance and neutral taste. It does not alter the flavour of the bit and provides a smooth, durable surface that is easy to maintain while ensuring long-lasting performance.
