The Fager Adam Baucher is designed for highly sensitive horses that dislike metal bits or develop wear around the premolars. Its straight leather mouthpiece provides a soft, stable, and reassuring contact that suits horses requiring maximum comfort.

Handcrafted from vegetable-tanned leather, the mouthpiece gradually adapts to the horse's mouth. Its natural taste and slight flexibility encourage relaxation, acceptance of the bit, and quiet chewing. A nylon-covered wire core ensures safety while maintaining the bit's shape.

The Baucher cheekpieces keep the mouthpiece stable and reduce unnecessary movement inside the mouth. This stability helps minimise rubbing at the corners of the lips and may benefit horses prone to irritation or premolar wear.

The straight mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, providing a consistent and comfortable feel. Horses that are particularly wide across the premolars may require a larger size for the best fit.

Fager's vegetable-tanned leather is produced without harmful chemicals or artificial dyes. It gradually softens and adapts to the horse's mouth, providing excellent comfort and a natural taste appreciated by many horses. If the leather becomes dry, it should be conditioned with food-grade paraffin oil.
