The Trust resin gag bit with tongue relief offers many advantages thanks to both its material and the shape of its mouthpiece. It provides comfort for sensitive-mouthed horses that struggle to take a steady contact.

The anatomical design offers maximum space for the tongue, and the tongue port ensures optimal pressure distribution across the bars, the tongue, and the corners of the mouth. Because it is a straight mouthpiece, it provides symmetrical left–right contact from the rider’s hand to the horse’s mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue.

All these features help the horse gain confidence in the bit, seek the contact, and stretch into the rein.

The Innosense resin is smooth and soft to the touch, making it suitable even for horses that have difficulty salivating. The rigid resin prevents the horse from leaning too heavily on the bit while still encouraging contact, whereas the soft resin encourages the horse to stretch more into the contact.

A light and steady contact on the bit contributes to improving the horse’s movement through better hind-leg engagement.

The combined gag bit is similar to a standard gag but includes a leather strap that applies pressure to the chin. When rein tension increases, the action is redirected toward the back of the noseband, relieving pressure on the mouth.

This helps the horse remain calmer, stabilise its head carriage by shifting its weight toward the hindquarters, all while maintaining good rein tension.

It can be used with two reins, four reins, or with rein connectors. The pressure on the poll is softer than with a Pessoa or a traditional gag thanks to the chin strap’s action.
