Our expert's opinion
The action of this bit is intensified depending on the rein position. It offers 3 different combinations : lateral control, lever action and gag action. This bit can be used in numerous configurations and offer the possibility to have a bit with a light action. The signle jointed make this bit more comfortable by relieving the horse from any pressure on their palate. Care Instructions: Rinse the bit thoroughly after each use to prevent residue build-up and avoid discomfort for your horse. Oil the leather with a vegetable oil (important: avoid using hoof oil or synthetic oils) to maintain a soft and pleasant contact for your horse.
Material
Material: Leather is a natural material very pleasant for the horse which stimulates chewing and salivation.
Advantages :
- Allows to avoid the cold contact of some metallic bits.
- The production of saliva softens the leather and makes it more pleasant for the horse. Maintenance advice : The leather should be oiled with a vegetable oil every 5 uses to keep the leather supple.
Caution : This material is vulnerable, it is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear related to bites. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
