Material
Leather is a natural material that is very comfortable for the horse and stimulates chewing and salivation.
Advantages:
- Helps avoid the cold contact of certain metal bits.
- Saliva production softens the leather and makes it more pleasant for the horse.
Tips : Prior to the first use please soak the mouthpiece thoroughly in cooking oil. Please repeat since the leather seems dry to you. Prior to every use please soak briefly in cold water and rinse after use because saliva can erode the leather quickly.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
