The Moulded Preferred Contact bit is a resin bit that flexes only at the two narrowest joints of the mouthpiece. This design allows for a light contact with the horse. The bit is reinforced with an internal cable inside the resin to provide greater flexibility and safety. Thanks to its flexibility and design, the Moulded Preferred Contact bit respects the anatomy of the horse’s mouth and promotes relaxation. The central port, angled at 45 degrees, sits between the tongue and the palate to provide comfort for your horse. It helps bring greater calmness to horses that tend to fuss with the bit.

This central port system helps relax sensitive horses and limits the movement of the bit in the mouth for horses that tend to play with their tongue. The eggbutt rings provide more direct contact between the rider’s hands and the horse’s mouth, helping to improve contact and encouraging the horse to seek the hand. In addition, the eggbutts eliminate the risk of pinching at the corners of the lips, which is beneficial for horses with sensitive commissures. This is an ideal bit for horses that do not tolerate metal and may become tense when ridden in medium-soft straight bits.
