The Trust double-jointed tandem bit slightly limits the risk of a “nutcracker” effect on the tongue and palate thanks to its slightly flattened central lozenge. Trust offers a joint of uniform thickness with smooth transitions at the ends of the mouthpiece, which avoids rough edges that could cause discomfort to the horse. The double joint provides good mobility, helping to achieve relaxation in horses that may lean on straight bits. It offers good freedom of movement in the horse’s mouth. This is a versatile bit that can be used for both young horses in training and older, more experienced horses. Its sweet iron alloy promotes chewing and salivation, contributing to relaxation.

The tandem bit is a combination of a hackamore and a bit. It acts on the nose as well as on the lower jaw via the curb chain. This bit must be used with great precision and helps to channel horses with a lot of strength and energy. The curb chain allows more precise adjustment of the bit’s leverage action: the tighter it is, the stronger the action. It distributes pressure over the lower jaw. The use of curb chain covers is recommended for sensitive horses.

Sweet iron : Sweet iron alloy oxidizes when in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste which naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
