The Trust double-jointed bridle bit is designed to slightly reduce the risk of a “nutcracker” effect on the tongue and palate thanks to its slightly flattened central lozenge. Trust offers a joint with uniform thickness along the bars, preventing rough edges that could cause discomfort to the horse. The double joint provides good mobility, helping horses that brace against a straight bit to relax. It allows ample freedom of movement in the horse’s mouth.

This versatile bit can be used both for young, learning horses and older, experienced horses. Its sweet iron alloyencourages chewing and salivation, promoting relaxation. The loose rings provide a soft, non-leverage contact and allow easy rein play to help release tension in the horse’s forehand.

Sweet iron : Sweet iron alloy oxidizes when in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste which naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
