The eggbutt ring bit from Stübben is a double jointed bit. The double joint provides comfort for the horse thanks to the olive-shaped center piece and small joints. This allows the bit to be positioned comfortably in the horse's mouth. Pressure in the mouth is divided and more evenly distributed across the reins. The eggbutt bit has oval-shaped rings. They only rotate along one axis, which prevents pinching of the corners of the mouth. The snaffle bit has small rings for ideal placement with the snaffle bit. The olive allows direct contact with the horse's mouth.
