Description
The Trust straight leather bit provides a constant and symmetrical contact. It helps to make contact with the bit and is more suitable for horses that have difficulty with articulated bits. The straight barrel exerts direct pressure on the tongue and bars, while freeing the palate. The fact that it is straight ensures a symmetrical left/right contact of the hand to the mouth and eliminates any risk of pinching the tongue. All these elements will allow the horse to gain confidence in his mouthpiece, to come to rest and to stretch himself, it is an ideal bit for a young horse. Leather is a natural material that is very pleasant for the horse and stimulates chewing and salivation. The barrel is soft, which encourages the horse to stretch on the bit and put his hindquarters under it.
The pessoa bit can be adjusted in several ways to provide leverage for better control. It has a lowering effect. Reins can be fixed on the bottom ring or attached with rings on the middle and bottom rings. It can be used with a curb chain, for action on the mandible.

Tips : Prior to the first use please soak the mouthpiece thoroughly in cooking oil. Please repeat since the leather seems dry to you. Prior to every use please soak briefly in cold water and rinse after use because saliva can erode the leather quickly. Leather is a vulnerable material, we strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
