Description
Trust's cherry roller single jointed bit has a relatively fine finish to limit any roughness that might be uncomfortable for the horse's tongue. It offers a mobility to the barrel that will encourage the horse to maintain a light contact. It's an interesting bit for a horse at ease with its mouthpieces, which can weigh down the hand with straight bits.
The Pessoa bit can be adjusted to provide leverage for better control. It has a lowering effect. The reins can be fixed to the bottom ring or attached with rings to the middle and bottom rings. It can be used with a curb chain, for action on the mandible.
Material
Sweet iron: Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes on contact with moisture from the mouth and air. Oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production. This corresponds to the effect of sugar given to the horse at the start of the session, but allows this sweet taste to be diffused throughout the work. As a result, this alloy ensures good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse make contact with the mouthpiece. Oxidation modifies the appearance of the bit as the session progresses.
