Description
Trust's cherry roller single-break bit has a relatively fine finish to limit any roughness that might be uncomfortable for the horse's tongue. It offers a mobility to the barrel that will encourage the horse to maintain a light contact. It's an interesting bit for a horse at ease with its mouthpieces, which can weigh down the hand with straight bits.
The Pessoa bit can be adjusted to provide leverage for better control. It has a lowering effect. The reins can be fixed to the bottom ring or attached with rings to the middle and bottom rings. It can be used with a curb chain, for action on the mandible.
Material
Sweet iron: Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes on contact with moisture in the mouth and air. Oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production. This corresponds to the effect of sugar given to the horse at the start of a session, but allows this sweet taste to be diffused throughout the work. As a result, this alloy ensures good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse make contact with the mouthpiece. Oxidation modifies the appearance of the bit as the session progresses.
