Bradoon snaffle gag bit - Abbey

The Abbey brand bradoon gag bit is a single jointed bit that provides simple contact. It is a small, thin bit that is combined with a weymouth bit. 

The gag bit has the distinctive feature of using special cheekpieces that pass through two rings perpendicular to the bit rings. This feature allows it to be used with two or four reins or with curb chains. The snaffle reins will then have a traditional lifting effect, and the reins attached to the special cheekpieces will often have a lowering effect. The needle bit allows for better control of the horse.
