D rings single jointed with rubber block AJR

The Verdun bit has D-shaped rings, giving it a slight leverage action. They rotate on one axis only, which prevents pinching of the corners of the mouth. The flat side of the D-ring makes this bit more directional than an eggbut or loose ring bit, but less so than a cheekpiece bit.

The Rubber Block bit has been designed to reduce binding and grip on the forehand. This softer version than the traditional stainless steel model encourages suppleness and responsiveness. When the reins are engaged, the rubber blocks exert pressure on the bars of the mouth, advising the horse to lift its balance and soften its mouth.
