Description
: The Waterford eggbutt bit from Trust is a waterfor bit in sweet iron. It has four breaks. This bit offers asymmetrical contact between the hand and the horse's mouth due to its articulation and the mobility it offers. This bit is recommended for horses that tend to land on their hands excessively. The multiple breaks will encourage the horse to take charge of its forehand.
The pelham is a fixed lever bit. Through its action on the horse's neck and chin (mandible), it has a greater or lesser lowering effect, depending on the size of the branches and its installation (two- or four-rein adjustment, rings, curb chain). It is ideal for powerful horses and/or those with a high blood pressure to channel their energy. The curb chain allows you to vary the intensity of the bit. Curb protectors are recommended for sensitive horses.
> Sold with curb chain
Material
Sweet iron: Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes on contact with moisture in the mouth and air. Oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates saliva production. This corresponds to the effect of sugar given to the horse at the start of a session, but allows this sweet taste to be diffused throughout the work. As a result, this alloy ensures good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse make contact with the mouthpiece. Oxidation modifies the appearance of the bit as the session progresses.
