Expert opinion : The Shires eggbutt bit is a double jointed. Its small copper section in the center allows your horse's mouth to relax. Unlike the single bit, which acts on the palate, the double bit acts on the tongue without causing pain. It's important to know that a horse's palate is a sensitive area that must not be neglected.
The eggbutt bit has oval-shaped rings. They rotate only along one axis of rotation, which avoids any pinching of the corners of the mouth.
Material
Copper : The copper alloy has a pleasant taste for the horse when it comes into contact with the mouth, stimulating chewing and salivation.
