Expert opinion
An anatomical straight bit designed with specific pressure distribution to ensure complete comfort for the horse. Simon's design to provide the best shape for a horse that a straight bit can have, following the natural contours of the horse's mouth. This unique shape, in combination with the sweet taste, will give the rider a stable, consistent contact in the hand. A bit with tongue relief suits horses with large, sensitive tongues who can open their mouths, pull the reins, and play with their tongues.
Loose Rings are designed to move independently to the mouthpiece. This allows the horse more freedom to use his tongue, allowing them to place the pressure from the mouthpiece either higher or lower, whichever they prefer. Loose Rings are a good choice for a horse that can be slightly stiff or hard in the mouth.
Material
Sweet Iron : Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
