Bombers Bridong Loose Ring McHardy Dressage Titanium. The McHardy Dressage Titanium is a unique bit. The middle piece is ground flat and set at 45° to follow the contour of the horses tongue, and distribute the pressure evenly over tongue, which together with the offset links further reduce pressure points. McHardy Dressage is curved to be softer on the bars and slow in applying tongue pressure. A horse shaking its head when bit pressure is applied or trying to put its tongue over the bit are classic signs the horse has a sensitive tongue. With this in mind the McHardy Dressage was created, it has a medium port creating space for the tongue, relieving pressure.
Material
Sweet Iron : Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
