Expert opinion
: The soft straight Verdun bit is a soft bit ideal for young horses. Its one-piece barrel allows the horse to have a symmetrical Left/Right contact from the hand to the mouth. This helps the horse to settle on the bit and is why it is interesting to use from the breaking-in stage as it gives confidence. It avoids any tongue pinching. The D-rings will allow an excellent lateral framing and a more direct contact of the hand towards the mouth as well as a very light leverage. This leverage is achieved because the space between the snaffle post and the rein is greater than on an olive ring or a loose ring.
The mouthpiece is made of soft, flexible plastic and is very comfortable in the horse's mouth.
This D-ring bit can be used as a straight mullen mouth or a mullen mouth with a slight port - whatever suits you and your horse. The thickened bit rings promote a calm position in the mouth.

Material : The Duo bits have a steel core for maximum strength and safety. They are made from food-safe, solvent-free materials and contain no plasticisers. Best quality - for the health of your horse.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
