Expert opinion
Expert's Opinion : The Jump'in double snaffle bit slightly reduces the risk of a ‘nutcracker’ effect on the tongue and palate thanks to its slightly flattened central olive. Jump'in's double crimp is of uniform thickness with the ends of the barrels, which avoids any roughness that could upset the horse. The double curvature provides good mobility for the bit, allowing good relaxation in horses that can lean on straight bits. It offers good freedom of movement in the horse's mouth. It's a versatile bit that can be used for horses in training as well as older horses. Its blue steel alloy encourages the horse to chew and salivate, and provides relaxation. The baucher with its upper branches has a slightly lowering effect on the neck. Its action remains light, with the aim of obtaining a slight pressure on the horse's neck.
Material
Blue Steel : Blue steel alloy is equivalent to Sweet Iron, which oxidises on contact with air and moisture. This produces a thin layer of rust with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. By salivating more, the horse makes more contact with its bit. In this oxidation process the colour will change to grey/brown. Composition 54% carbon and 46% manganese.
