Our expert's opinion
The full cheek bit allows a better channeling of the horse. The needles placed on both sides of the mouth, allow to better control the lateral bending in a young horse and make this bit very directional. The right bit is soft. Allows a symmetrical contact, which is why some riders use it as soon as they break.
Material
Rubber : This material is frequently used when breaking in young horses. They are often thick and help with contact. Rubber bits are vulnerable and can quickly become damaged, depending on your horse's dentition. It is strongly advised not to use a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
