Expert opinion
: The Nathe soft straight bit is a soft bit. Unlike the double jointed, which acts on the tongue, the single jointed acts on the palate. It's important to remember that a horse's palate is a sensitive area that must not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy to handle but sensitive in the mouth, or with a hollow palate.The high quality resin of the Nathe brand encourages horses to salivate. When the bit is applied to the mouth, it curves and distributes the pressure in the mouth on the tongue, bars and corners. The loose rings will allow for easier play in the fingers and offer a slightly less direct contact of the hand to the mouth.
Material
Material : Made in Germany, Nathe bits are made of a high quality anti-allergenic thermoplastic. They are manufactured without the use of chemical substances or solvents. Thanks to their smooth surface, Nathe bits avoid the risk of overheating in the horse's mouth. They are reinforced with a cable which ensures the solidity of the bit. The resin bits remain at room temperature and offer a soft and relaxing contact.
Caution : This material is vulnerable and is not guaranteed by the manufacturer against wear and tear due to biting. We strongly advise against using a bit that is too damaged, as this could injure the horse's bars, tongue and palate.
