Expert opinion
: The double snaffle bit allows a better relaxation of the horse's mouth by a soft transmission of the commands. Indeed, unlike the single bit which acts on the palate which is a sensitive part of the horse's mouth, the double bit acts on the tongue without causing pain. The action of the bit is more or less strong depending on the thickness of the barrel.
Material
Stainless steel : Stainless steel is a commonly used alloy which has the particularity of not oxidising. Due to their nature, stainless steel jaws are very strong and do not get damaged over time.
Cupris : The new Waldhausen copper bits with 62% copper promote chewing and the flow of saliva. The copper alloy is nickel-free, the rings are made of stainless steel.
