The Pessoa MARIA is a double bit with a titanium tongue. The shape of its barrel offers space for the horse's tongue. For this reason, it is particularly suited to horses with sensitive tongues that can shake their heads with a more traditional bit. The quality of the finish on the titanium barrel and the fineness of the breakage make it particularly comfortable and very light. A very comfortable bit that naturally follows the shape of the tongue. Its slightly curved shape allows it to follow the horse's mouth. The pessoa offers better control through a leverage effect on the nape of the neck. It can be used with a curb chain. It is also possible to use it with lifter uprights. The leverage of the pessoa can be adjusted according to its installation:
- Reins on the bottom ring for maximum leverage.
- Reins on the centre ring for a baucher-type effect.
- Reins with wedding rings for in-between leverage.
Material
Titanium : The titanium alloy has several advantages. First of all, it is an ultra-light bit that is soft to the touch, which makes it more discreet for the horse and therefore more comfortable. It helps to relieve tension in the cervical region. Titanium is relaxing, it promotes the production of saliva, which helps to relax the neck muscles. The titanium is covered with dioxide which makes it anti-bacterial.
