The Zilco straight rubber bit provides comfort in the horse's mouth by distributing pressure points. It acts globally on the tongue and the bars. It is recommended for horses with a sensitive palate or a flat palate. The straight bit allows the rider to obtain a symmetrical action. Its straight barrel encourages the horse to come and rest on the bit. The free rings offer a soft contact to the mouth. They allow a slight indirect contact compared to fixed rings, which makes it easier to play in the fingers and limit excessive tension. This bit is very popular for showing horses and ponies in-hand, particularly when brass buckled led-in bridles are used.
