: The rubber gag bit is a single jointed that offers a simple contact. It allows a good relaxation of your horse's mouth by a smoother transmission of your aids. Unlike the double jointed which acts on the tongue, the single jointed acts on the palate. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. It can be recommended for horses that are relatively easy on the mouth, not very sensitive on the palate or with a hollow palate.
The special feature of the gag bit is the use of special uprights that pass through two rings perpendicular to the bit rings. This feature allows it to be used with two or four reins, or with wedding rings. The snaffle reins will then have a traditional lifting effect, and the reins attached to the special uprights, a lowering effect. The needle bit allows better channeling of the horse.
