Expert opinion
The MARCUS Fulmer is a double bit in sweet iron. This sweet iron bit is particularly suitable for horses that can pull a little on the bit, while being delicate in the direction. The barrel is designed so as not to exert pressure on the horse's palate. Its slightly curved shape allows it to hug the horse's mouth. The Baby Fulmer's side needles give the horse extra stability while helping to solve steering problems. The sweet iron works effectively to increase acceptance and regular contact. The Baby Fulmer offers lateral guidance while allowing discontinuous contact in the reins thanks to the free ring which encourages the horse to lighten up in front to work on his topline.
Material
Sweet Iron: Sweet Iron alloy oxidizes upon contact with moisture in the mouth and air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste that naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Therefore, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to make contact with the mouthpiece. The oxidation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
