Expert opinion
: The Trust brand single-jointed full cheek pony pony bit has relatively fine finishes allowing it to limit the roughness that could be uncomfortable for the horse's tongue. It provides barrel mobility that will encourage the horse to stay in light contact. It has good freedom of movement in the horse's mouth. It is a versatile bit that can be used for horses in training as well as for horses of age. Its sweet iron alloy promotes chewing and salivation of the horse and this brings relaxation. The full cheek will allow to obtain an excellent lateral framing and a more direct contact of the hand towards the mouth.
Material
Sweet iron : Sweet iron alloy oxidizes when in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste which naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
