: The JOHN Pessoa bit is a double bit in sweet iron. This sweet iron bit is particularly suitable for horses that can pull a little on the bit, but are delicate in the direction. The bit is designed so that it does not exert pressure on the horse's palate. Its slightly curved shape allows it to fit the horse's mouth. The sweet iron works effectively to increase acceptance and consistent contact. The pessoa offers better control through leverage on the neck. It can be used with a curb chain. It is also possible to use it with lifter posts. The leverage of the pessoa can be adjusted according to its installation:
- Reins on the bottom ring for maximum leverage.
- Reins on the middle ring for a baucher type effect.
- Reins with rings to be in between.

Sweet iron : Sweet iron alloy oxidizes when in contact with the humidity of the mouth and the air. The oxidation brings a sweet taste which naturally stimulates the production of saliva. This corresponds to the effect of a sugar that is given to the horse at the beginning of the session but allows to diffuse this sweet taste throughout the work. Consequently, this alloy allows a good acceptance of the bit and helps the horse to get in touch with its mouthpiece. The oxydation modifies the aspect of the bit during the sessions.
