Expert opinion
: The Kimblewick from Beris is a double jointed made of resin which offers a light and softer contact than sweet iron or stainless steel. It allows a good relaxation of the mouth of your horse by its alloy. Unlike the single jointed which acts on the palate, the double jointed acts on the tongue without causing pain. It is important to know that the palate of the horse is a sensitive area that should not be neglected. This bit offers stability for horses that need to seek more contact without being too stiff. A very comfortable bit that forms naturally on the tongue due to its anatomy.
The Kimblewick, mainly used in Iberian riding, has a fairly strong action. It is used with a curb chain and puts pressure on the bars with a leverage effect. It is recommended mainly for horses with a lot of natural impulsion. The Goyo Aga bit can be used in 3 ways:
Soft, with the reins attached to the top notch, it is halfway between the effect of the olive bit and the baucher.
Medium, with the reins in the middle notch, where the leverage is less than if the rein is tied down.
Severe, with the reins in the bottom notch, where the leverage is greater.
The curb chain allows the intensity of the bit to be varied. The leverage can be more or less attenuated. It is advisable to use curb chain guards for sensitive horses.

Material
Resin : Beris bits are made of resin, with a specially smooth surface that allows the bit to slide into the horse's mouth without the "gumming" effect that traditional resin bits can cause. This material is so smooth and soft to the touch that it can even be considered for horses that have difficulty salivating. This resin is made from a plastic material for food use. A real asset to obtain chewing and a good acceptance of the bit thanks to its soft touch and its ambient temperature.
