The Shires Equikind+ single-jointed Pessoa bit is suitable for horses that need a slim mouthpiece with a softer contact than metal. Its low bulk is particularly useful for horses with limited space in the mouth.

The single-jointed mouthpiece acts mainly on the sides of the tongue and may apply pressure to the palate depending on the horse's mouth conformation and the rein action. Its jointed design provides mobility and allows more independent use of each rein.

The Equikind+ coating provides a soft and flexible contact. Thinner than a traditional rubber mouthpiece, it retains the benefits of this material while taking up less space in the mouth.

The Pessoa rings allow the intensity of the action to be adjusted according to the rein position. The lower the reins are attached, the greater the leverage effect. The reins can be attached directly to the lower ring or used with roundings between the central and lower rings.

The cheeks measure 145 mm for sizes 115 and 125, and 180 mm for size 135.
