Description
Effect: Small leverage, standard barrel releasing pressure on the palate with the help of the double jointed. This bit will result in better tension and a better working attitude. The action of this bit will cause a slight cession of the neck and this will cause the horse to sit up slightly and close the head-neck angle. The double jointed makes this mouthpiece more comfortable in the mouth by freeing the discomfort zone on the palate.
Advice for use: The drop cheek is ideal when you are looking for a more sustained and high position of the horse's head. Its barrel size is slightly thinner than a standard barrel and will allow a little more finesse in what you are looking to achieve.
Maintenance advice: rinse the bit after each use to prevent any residue deposit and to avoid your horse to feel any discomfort.
Material
Blue Steel oxidizes when in contact of air and humidity creating a thin layer of rust which has a sweet taste that will naturally stimulate the production of saliva. By salivating more, horses will take the bit more. With this oxidizing process, the bit color will turn into a greyish brown.
